The following five exotic car concepts are tantalizing teases that should be real. All too often concepts make a grand debut and simply vanish, never to be seen again. Other times, they roll onto production only to emerge in a drastically different form. It seems to be a challenge to maintain the exciting components of a concept car once it reaches the assembly line.
The following 5 dream car concepts would be a treat to see on the streets, and one of them is:
5. The Lamborghini Prachtige concept. Iranian designer Emil Baddal created this gorgeous rendition of a Lamborghini supercar. The Prachtige hints at styling cues from the Reventon and the LP560, with a decidedly sharper edge.
4. The Maserati Bora. The talents of designer Alex Imnadze can clearly be enjoyed with the 2013 Maserati Bora concept. A stark departure from typical Maserati supercar fare, it ignites a new passion for the brand. You may remember Imnadze’s work on the Alfa Romeo 6C concept.
3. The Mercedes-Benz Gran Turismo 6 concept. Though it will likely never see the streets, this beauty captivated at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show in a made-to-scale model. Sadly, it will remain a gamer’s fantasy.
2. The Peugeot Onyx. While some liken the appearance of the Peugeot Onyx concept to a Duracell battery, it does have its finer points.
1. The Laraki Motors Epitome. I decided to end with one that actually made it. This is the epitome of a futuristic car. There were only 9 units created, though more may come in the future—if we are lucky. Interestingly, it was designed by a yacht builder, which could account for the fresh takes on styling. Yacht builder Abdessiam Laraki based this vision on the C6 Corvette and graced it with a carbon fiber body and dual fuel tanks. This model kicks out 1,200 horses, which rivals the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. The pricetag for this beast sits at a cool $2 million USD.
