BMW 1 Series M Coupe

The newest member of the BMW M family has arrived, weighing in at 3,296 pounds.  The BMW M coupe is a feisty version of the 1 Series, offering more masculine styling cues in a small package.  After months of endless teasers, we can now see what may someday be a member of many exotic car rental fleets, and possibly part of our own collection of Miami BMW rental cars.

 

This is a potent little luxury car, packing a 3.0-liter inline six TwinPower turbo engine bursting forth 335 horses, impeccable driving characteristics and a suspension system that is beyond responsive.  The 335 horses are sent to the rear wheels with 332 pound-feet of torque, just like the Z4 sDrive35i.

Like its M badged predecessor luxury cars, the 1M boasts the M drive button, allowing for improved throttle response.  There is also an M Dynamic Mode button that delays electronic interferences like traction control under certain conditions.

The BMW 1 Series M coupe can destroy the 0-60 peg in just 4.7 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 155 miles per hour.  As far as the revamped exterior, I like the aggressive front bumper that looks like it just wants to push grocery-getters out of its path.
