Lamborghini is making headlines again, offering its first marketing promotion in history.  With the luxury car markets in China and India booming, Lamborghini is offering registration tax-coverage for it’s illustrious Gallardo models in Korea.

The newly wealthy in the region are peeling apart their wallets to invest in leading luxury cars and exotic car rentals at an ever-increasing speed, and Lamborghini apparently wants to offer an incentive to choose them over other exotic car competitors.

This is an unprecedented move for Lamborghini, a brand that simply does not need to burden itself with marketing an elite fleet of supercars that sell themselves.  But with so many exotic carmakers setting up headquarters in the area, Lamborghini found an avenue to entice certain buyers.

The price of a Lamborghini Gallardo on the Korean market is around $360,000 USD ($400 million won), making registration tax-coverage a generous offer indeed.  It will be interesting to see how competing luxury carmakers like BMW, Ferrari, Audi and others respond to this move by Lamborghini. 

The Lamborghini Gallardo lineup Korea consists of the LP560-4, LP560-4 Spyder, LP570-4 and LP550-2.
