The star-studded luxury hybrid of our time, the Fisker Karma, is being recalled a stunning second time! Fisker Automotive Inc. released a statement with the details of this round of recalls. If you recall, the first round of Karma recalls rolled rapidly and smoothly.
The first recall was related to potentially defective hose clamps in the battery cooling system
The investigation and ensuing second recall stemmed from a fire hazard, similar to the first. This time, a cooling fan will be replaced that may have been the culprit behind a fire earlier this month…or perhaps Justin Bieber was fleeing paparazzi at high velocity on public highways again. By the way, that is going to be my excuse the next time I am pulled aside for speeding: “I apologize, officer, but my obsessed fans and paparazzi are trailing me. That is why it was necessary to blast up to 90 just now.”

The coolest component of the Karma should be its cooling system, so hopefully they are able to rectify the issues afflicting the $100,000 hybrid this time around! The company said it would replace the fans in all cars and install an additional fuse for further safety.
To date, Fisker has sold around 1,000 Karmas
Fisker handled the first recall with poise and speed, I expect the second to roll along the same
