The people at Lexus have more to be proud of than producing an environmentally savvy luxury hybrid car, the CT 200H.  The Lexus CT 200H is currently poised in the display window of Harrod’s in London, possibly the world’s most luxurious department store!  It certainly seems that exotic hybrid cars and luxury hybrid rentals like the Cadillac Escalade hybrid rental are increasing in popularity, and going mainstream.

 

Billed as the first-ever hybrid luxury hatchback, the Lexus CT 200H boasts a specialized hybrid engine offering the option of operating the car with either electricity or petrol.  Of course, a bit of publicity for their new baby never hurts, and what better way to generate gawks than by securing a slot in the display window of London’s prestigious Harrod’s, where typical exotic car rentals and models displayed include Ferraris, Aston Martins, and recently the Aston Martin Cygnet.

The CT 200H is so green, it is actually exempt from the London congestion charge.  No doubt the luxury hybrid will be creating some congestion of its own, in the form of heavy crowds longing to get up-close and personal with the new luxury hybrid car trend!  The Lexus hybrid will be on display at Harrod’s until January 15th.
