The Maserati Ghibli is the prestigious Neiman Marcus car this year and some say the most attractive member of the fleet. Not only is the chiseled Ghibli a gorgeous exotic sports car, it is actually the brand’s most affordable offering! Unless you plan to purchase it from the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book, that is.
The 2015 Maserati Ghibli S Q4 is a stunning specimen of sports car. It will be offered in the Neiman Marcus holiday catalog and hit showrooms next year. The standard variants are much more affordable.
Some say the Maserati Ghibli is a stride closer to making these types of cars more affordable to the masses. Starting well under the $100k marker at a modest $76k. Is the 4+4 Maserati better looking than her coupe siblings? Opinions on the matter will vary, but for far less buyers can have more room and well…an affordable Maserati!
Starting at just $76k, there will be plenty of dough left over to customize a Maserati Ghibli.
Perhaps pricing is on the lower end because it really does not double as a track car like a Ferrari 458 or Lamborghini Gallardo could. The sensible Maserati Ghibli is suitable for a daily driver and would leave colleagues burning with envy. What it would not burn, however, is through a bank account.
The Ghibli concept first emerged back in the 1960s, but today’s version is certainly much improved. She now packs a 3-liter V6 engine mated to an 8-speed automated gearbox pushing forth 345 horses. There is a turbocharged variant of the Ghibli capable of unleashing 404 horses, something that may be a bit of fun on a track.
The Maserati Ghibli features five operating modes:
- Auto Normal
- Auto Sport
- Manual Normal
- Manual Sport
- I.C.E. (Increased control & efficiency)
Overall, with such a fantastic luxury car being offered at a pleasing price, expect to see many of these on the roads over the next few years!
