Mega Yacht O’mega Makes Mediterranean Waves

Mega yacht O’mega has been drawing attention to herself for many years.  O’mega may be a bit older than most luxury yachts in her class, but she remains among the elite, with a coveted spot on the 2008 list of the World’s 100 Largest Yachts, by Power and Motor Yacht magazine.

Miss O’mega has undergone a bit of “work”, with major refits in 2004 and August of 2009.  She was born in Japan in 1985, at the cost of $50 million Euros.  She can now be charMega Yacht Omegatered, for a mere 70,000 Euros per day.  Talk about a return on an investment!

Still very active in the yachting and yacht charter community, yacht O’mega is currently based in Greece for the summer, with available UK luxury yacht charters including Dream Marine, encompassing the eastern and western Mediterranean.  There you can find the Greek Islands, Croatia, and Italy’s famed Amalfi Coastline.

So how does a luxury yacht charter remain luxurious over the years?  O’mega is the definition of old-school elegance, and every inch the lady with classic mahogany paneling, custom made linens and carpeting, fine Italian fabrics and intricate detailing to her interior and exterior.

The upper saloon is the portrait of class and history, featuring a piano bar with oversized sofas and a modern theater set-up.  After the show, over 32 guests can enjoy her dining room, serving up culinary art by sought-after chefs.  After dinner, guests are put-up in style, in one of 16 luxury cabins.

Of course O’mega features a luxury spa, modern gym and Jacuzzis, though she is a bit short on excess, as there are no helipads, submarines or missile-detection systems.  Well, for a trip back in time with most modern updates, O’mega seems to be a Mediterranean dream.
