South Beach Luxury Hotels Reaching Capacity for Super Bowl 44

Luxury Hotels South BeachIf you are planning to head south for Super Bowl 44 next month, and intend to stay at one of South Beach’s luxury hotels, the prime picks are reaching capacity.  In fact, the new W Hotel South Beach is officially booked solid for Super Bowl week.  After calling around town this morning, here are some remaining options (subject to change, of course):

•    Ritz Carlton South Beach
•    Gansevoort South Beach
•    Setai South Beach
•    Mondrian South Beach
•    W Hotel South Beach-Booked Solid

The Ritz Carlton is a classic luxury hotel and a South Beach favorite.   As of this morning the Ritz still had some space available for Super Bowl week.  No minimum stay requirement was mentioned by reservations.  I inquired the rate for February 6th through the 10th and was quoted $979 to $1109 per night (remember that rate quotes for all The Setai South Beachhotels are extremely subject to change as the game approaches, most likely they will increase).  The Ritz South Beach is located at 1 Lincoln road.

Gansevoort South Beach is a luxury hotel located at 2377 Collins Avenue and also had vacancies for Super Bowl 44.  The Gansevoort is observing a special plan for the week, with bookings restricted to February 3-8, which makes it a 5-night minimum at $1255 per night.  The Gansevoort boasts modern fresh décor, understated elegance that impresses.  It is within proximity to both the beach and area restaurants and entertainment.

The Setai South Beach is a sophisticated exotic hotel option for game week, especially if you are in search of serene seclusion.  The Setai succeeds in creating an upscale oasis with a relaxing vibe throughout, yet still in the midst of South Beach’s finest establishments.  The Setai is also observing a 5-night minimum for the Super Bowl.  The following options were given this morning:  a studio for $1200 per night, a courtyard view for $1400 per night, and a 1-bedroom suite for $2500 per night.  The Setai is located at 101 20th street.

If you are not up for staying five nights, you may look into the Setai individual units available, like this Setai 2/2 condo, or Setai townhouse.

Lastly, the Mondrian South Beach still had rooms available this morning.  This is a beautiful luxury with a minimalist approach to décor, quite bright and airy, located on the intercoastal.  I was informed there is a 3-night minimum for game week, with available studios for $550 per night, and deluxe 2 bedroom suites for $1,050.

It was no surprise that the W Hotel South Beach is booked solid for Super Bowl XLIV.  The W opened over the summer, and has rapidly become the place to see and be seen in swanky South Beach, which has in turn led to its becoming the obvious preferred spot for Super Bowl week.  The W Hotel does have private residences available as well, an option that may have openings.

So if you were not lucky enough to snag one of the coveted rooms at the W, you can still select an exotic rental car that will give you all the bragging rights and attention you need for the week.  Lets face it, its more fun to peel around in a Ferrari rental than to hole up in your hotel room anyways!
