Recently, Robb Report named the 2013 Porsche Carrera as its prestigious ‘Car of the Year’. In a new twist, roughly 2,263 versions of the Porsche 911 Carrera and Carrera 4 coupes and convertibles are being recalled. The reason for the Porsche recall is enough to make the brand blush a bit: The tailpipes can fall off. No worries, this is a leading world brand who can certainly handle any issue, large, small or shocking!
The recall effects specific 2012 and 2013 Porsche 911 cars produced between March 7th and November 12th, 2012, according to the official filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Basically, if the Porsche has the 3.4-liter six-cylinder engine and is equipped with the standard exhaust, the tailpipes can crack and thus fall off! Yikes.
