With all the fuss generated about the super-sleek and nearly completely carbon fiber Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, it is a bit surprising that it is finally up for grabs at a German exotic car dealership. Yes, a mere 10 of these svelte supercars are being made available at the bargain price of $2.63 million each. But wait…is this Lambo even classified as street legal? It is definitely too fast to serve as an exotic rental car Miami…or is it?
The reason I say this is because the Sesto Elemento boasts a specialty V10 engine delivering 570 horses, with a power-to-weight ratio of just 1.75 kilos per hp. This Lamborghini supercar obliterates the 0-60 mark in half the time of most exotic cars, at just 2.5 seconds with top speeds of around 186 miles per hour.
The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento first wowed the luxury auto world at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, although the tight lines and sharp angles put some off as “too futuristic”. I believe they have forgotten the extreme success of the Delorean…sorry, couldn’t stop myself.
Love it or loathe it, the Sesto Elemento powered its way through auto critics, all the way to production, no easy task for any exotic car concept. Did I mention that the $2.63 million dollar price tag for the Sesto Elemento will also have a 19% VAT (value added tax, a consumer tax) tacked onto that, proving that you must pay to play, indeed!
Don’t worry; you can indulge in one of our stunning Lamborghini rentals or other luxury car rental of your choice if you are not one of the lucky 10 Lamborghini Sesto Elemento owners…
