With the 2015 Ferrari California reveal coming up next month in Geneva, any tidbits leaked about the design are a hot commodity. Rumors are circulating in Ferrari forums that the next generation of the Ferrari California will boast many styling cues from F1 Racing, which is not a first but certainly stirs up more excitement for the model.
What will the next generation of the Ferrari California sound like? We will find out in less than one month when the model takes the stage at the Geneva Motor Show!
Design influences will likely range from F1 Racing to the hyperbeast sibling, the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. I think the front will appear far more prominent than ever, if the LaFerrari is any indication of the Horse’s willingness to go big. The tail lights will likely resemble the 458 Italia and the possible presence of further emphasized vents and spoiler.
The glorious Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is definitely worthy of imitation. With a heady mix of it and some racing attributes, the California model will go down a new road next year.
The powertrain is said to remain the same, with power stemming from a 3.8-liter V8 turbocharged engine. It is the same engine inside the new Maserati Quattroporte, though tuned to release 552 Prancing Horses. To put the performance specs into perspective in terms of lineage, the standard Ferrari 458 Italia produces 562 horses. The Ferrari California is not meant to out-perform the Italia, and each offer something a bit unique in the appearance arena.
Stay tuned for the official 2015 Ferrari California reveal following the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The Geneva Show begins March 6th and runs through the 16th and will see the debuts of a multitude of machines this year. We cannot wait!
