The highly competitive Ferrari World Design Contest concluded this week, naming the lucky winners at the Maranello headquarters in Italy. So what will the future shape of Ferrari look like, and when can we include it in our fleet of Ferrari rentals in Miami, New York and Chicago?
Eternita Ferrari Concept
The winning team included Kim Cheong Ju, Ahn Dre and Lee Sahngseok, all from Seoul, Korea. Their designs placed strong emphasis on the global nature of the brand, along with the design history. Each design student will receive a 3-month internship at the Ferrari headquarters, quite a coveted honor!
Winners pose next to their design, the Ferrari Eternita concept
The Ferrari World Design Challenge asked students to conceive a “Ferrari of the Third Millennium”, a supercar with speed, gravity defiance and vanguard technologies. In perhaps a sign of the future, most students also offered a hybrid power plant in their designs, something Ferrari does not yet offer but is becoming increasingly popular in today’s green movement.

Named Eternità, the winning design wrapped the rear wheels in fluid rows off the body, vaned like a fan or jet. The front was positioned very low, with a distinctive hypercar look and feel.
