What do you do when you are 19 years old and own a Lamborghini Superleggera? Abdulaziz Al-Amoudi of Saudi Arabia transformed his into a police Lamborghini for a special event he was participating in. The media sensation sparked by the civilian-owned police supercar led to official police interest and action.
This was the only photo of the kid’s car I could locate online
Al-Amoudi’s Lamborghini Superleggera exterior was originally orange. The teen changed it up to resemble an American police car “for fun”. After the revamp, he posted photos of the finished product to Instagram and soon a swarm of social media outlets began sharing. Because his friends shared photos of the Lamborghini police car, some people began messaging Al-Amoudi that the Jeddah police were looking for him!
Dubai police can easily catch up to the many exotic cars gracing their streets
Not interested in creating any trouble, Al-Amoudi contacted the local police department to clear up any issues. He was informed that because the exterior does not match the car license information, that he should change it back to its original color. The police let him off with just a warning, and he did not drive the Lamborghini in its police form on the roadways.
The Italians..
Maybe needed more training
Police supercars are not a new thing—there are a fleet of impressive patrol cars in Dubai, Italy and a few other countries. The supercars tend to spend a short time as part of official police fleets because they are not generally intended for daily drivers. They are used to drum up publicity and to show criminals that their illegally acquired toys can be taken and played with by law officials, which could serve as a deterrent for some to be so flashy. They are also used to show the wealth of the city, as is the case in Dubai.
It is unknown what special car event the teen was entering, but with that much creativity he must have generated attention in that arena as well!
