Autographed Aston Martin to Net Profits and Honor Basketball Hall of Fame

Attention exotic car enthusiasts and sports fans: a special Aston Martin is scheduled to hit the auction block. It is a 2002 Aston Martin Vanquish loaded with the signatures of 50 famous athletes, including Michael Jordan.

Will this Aston Martin Vanquish become the most valuable autographed possession? With 50 famous signatures, it should prove to be a hot commodity at the auction house.

While it is not typical to allow a single mark on a luxury car like an Aston Martin, this one is intended to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Basketball Hall of Fame…if you are into that sort of thing. That is the reason there are 50 signatures and likely the reason it was done to an older specimen of the Vanquish. All sarcasm aside–this Aston Martin Vanquish was stationed at the entrance of the 2009 ceremony where Michael Jordan, John Stockton and David Robinson were inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame. It seems only fitting that it be scrawled upon and auctioned for the cause, with some of the proceeds will be donated to charity.

Autographed Aston Martin

The autographed Aston Martin Vanquish above is poised to net over a million dollars at auction. While it is a 2002 model, it is laden with the signatures of 50 famous basketball players, thus raising the score.

The Aston Martin with the autographs of 50 Basketball Hall of Fame faces will be sold at Goldin Auctions. The car was purchased for $200,000 in its day, and an appraiser has placed a new value of $1.25 million on it today due to the famous signatures. That is a 525% value increase on the Aston Martin thanks to a few seconds of time by each famous baller. It will certainly be interesting to see where this exotic artifact will end up, in a collection or a museum?
