The 2010 BMW 335d has managed to not only look like every other 3-Series BMW on the roadways, but also to retain performance standards we have come to expect from the luxury brand.  So what is the difference?  The 335d is a diesel hybrid with increased fuel efficiency and lower emissions.

Yes, BMW is known for being at the forefront of the ever-changing auto world, pounding out model after tasty model, each more modern and sophisticated than the next.  And now it seems, this particular model appears to be greener than its predecessors!

As I mentioned in the beginning, the body style is nothing outstanding, and looks much like most other 3-series BMW’s.  It is what lies under the hood that sets the 335d BMW apart from the fleet.  It features a 3.0-liter turbo diesel engine, capable of hitting the 0-60 mark in 6 seconds flat.

On the downside, it is only available in one body style, and only with an automatic transmission.  On the upside, the high amount of torque in the low rev range produces an acoustic symphony of epic proportions, you may even wish to drive sans radio.

Overall, this is a tight and green little package, with the steering, braking and suspension capabilities we have come to expect from BMW, and a welcomed environmental nod.
