Recently we have covered the shocking thefts of luxury cars from dealerships, including Guy Fieri’s Lamborghini Gallardo in San Francisco and J.C. Romero’s Porsche in Florida.  But did you know that Fieri’s is not the first yellow Lamborghini to be taken from the Bentley, Lamborghini, Lotus dealership on Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco?

If you live or travel to California, I think it may be a safer bet to grab a Los Angeles Lamborghini rental car and this way you do not need to worry about your own exotic sports car getting stolen.

There have been a total of 3 luxury cars taken from the SF dealership, two yellow Lambos and a green Jaguar owned by John Marx was driven right off the lot by a brazen thief back in 2005.  Fieri’s yellow Lamborghini Gallardo was reportedly spied crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, where it was captured by Tiuron’s stealthy/creepy security camera license plate recognition system. 

It is not clear if the luxury car thefts at the dealership are the work of one individual, or simply the end result of irresponsibility on the part of the dealership.  Hey, did word get around that the SF luxury car dealership leaves the keys in the cars?
