Photos have recently surfaced of the elusive and topless Lamborghini Reventón Roadster, a member of the family that was previously denied (apparently the paternity test proved positive).  To make things even more fascinating, Lamborghini is only going to build a mere 20 of them, which has the potential to incite a frenzy.

To say that the Reventón Roadster is the looker of the family is an understatement. Rumors of this convertible version of the exclusive Reventón Roadster have been circulating recently yet until the photos were leaked online there was no proof that the supercar existed. 

The exterior is extreme, with dramatic lines and sharp edges that provide a futuristic effect that is very appealing.  The brand genius is apparently aware that chopping the roof off of a supercar is always a crowd-pleaser.
This is apparently the exit strategy for the Murcielago.  Earlier this year Lamborghini brought us the LP650-4 Roadster, which was followed up with the wicked SV.  The revised Reventón will utilize existing elements from the coupe, including the carbon fiber shell, alcantara leather and carbon fiber trimmed dash. 

Now let’s talk about power.  Here are the dirty details:

•    6.5-liter V12 engine (like the Murcielago)
•    670 horsepower
•    0-60 miles per hour in 3.4 seconds

The pricetag for the new Reventón convertible is a stratospheric $1 million, but for a looker like this that happens to be more exclusive than a regular Bugatti Veyron, you pay for your bragging rights.  So if you do not have a cool mil taking up too much space in your bank account, remember that you can still get your kicks in a Lamborghini rental South Beach style for far less, we recommend the Lamborghini Murcielago rental.  Oh, and here’s a fun fact:  the Reventón’s exhaust system is coated with plasma-sprayed, zirconia-based ceramics-the same material used to protect the insides of nuclear reactors.
