James Bond cherished his Aston Martin(s), and Johnny English preferred a Rolls Royce! In the latest spy flick “Johnny English Reborn”, quirky/creepy Rowan Atkinson rolls in a Rolls Royce Phantom Coupe…yet after his awkward exotic car crash, I am curious if he was permitted to operate it on the roadways!

Rowan Atkinson gained notoriety for his memorable roles as Mr. Bean and Blackadder, and seems to be perfectly molded as Johnny English. Johnny English is a spy who Atkinson says “thinks he is better than he really is”…a fantastic role for the Bean, in my humble opinion.

The real star of the show could very well be the Phantom coupe driven by English, as it boasts a female voice and human characteristics reminiscent of KITT in the popular yet aged Knight Rider. The Phantom Rolls Royce used in the movie packs a slightly more powerful 9-liter V16 engine rather than the usual 6.75-liter V12, but beefing it up for Hollywood is totally acceptable when it comes to luxury cars!

The Bean made a dashing appearance at the Rolls Royce press conference at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, where he talked up the upcoming movie and the role of the Phantom coupe. Johnny English Reborn will hit the big screen October 28th for all you Atkinson/Rolls Royce fans out there!
