One of the most punishing luxury car races held, the Nurburgring 24, has ended with the victory of team Manthey and the Porsche 911 GTR RSR this year.  This Porsche 911 has proven its manhood on the track, squashing even the illustrious new Ferrari 458 Italia!

The N24 race included the usual crashes, clashes and clandestine overtakes, keeping the crowd of 220,000+ sufficiently fired up!  The top for racecars this year included:

1.    The Porsche 911 GTR RSR
2.    Audi R8 LMS
3.    Audi R8 LMS (there were 2 of these in the top 4, impressive!)
4.    BMW M3 GT

All four cars managed to top last year’s record of 154 laps around the winding Nordschleife circuit.  In the end, only one team can claim victory and the rest are left with scars and the rumpled heaps of metal that were formerly their exotic racecars, already focusing on the next race.
