Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe Aviator Takes Flight

Rolls Royce officially unveiled the Phantom Coupe Aviator at the Quail Lodge during this year’s Pebble Beach action. Inspired by a rich history in aviation, this model boasts a cockpit style layout with aerospace awesomeness!

The Aviator collection is finished in gray with an attractive matte hood. Inside, a Thommen aviation-grade clock is prominent.

The exterior color is a nod to aviation, but the interior is where the design concept truly takes flight! An airy medley of metal and wood surround a special Thommen aviation grade clock, which is perched in the upper fascia with orange needle tips. The transmission tunnel is anodized aluminum with exposed bolts to resemble the S6B fuselage. Handmade mahogany and stainless steel accents drench the lower fascia and bullet shaped floor mats complete the illusions!

The exclusive Aviator lineup will celebrate the Schneider Supermarine S6B, powered by a version of the R Type engine in the 1930s and 40s.

Inside the leather-lined glove compartment is a quote from Charles Rolls following his first flight with the Wright Brothers in 1908: “The power of flight is as a fresh gift from the Creator, the greatest treasure yet given to man.”

The nods to aviation coat the interior

The specs:
• Same as the Phantom familia—a 6.75-liter V12
• 453 flying horses
• 6 speed transmission
• Pricing will be a bit different, likely soaring higher than the base Phantom coupe’s $400,000 mark
