Top 5 Chicago Bars to Watch the 2010 World Cup

South Africa 2010 World Cup ChicagoIn less than two weeks, you will start to see just how prevalent futbol is in the city of Chicago.  The World Cup is less than two weeks away and Chicago bar owners are gearing up for the action.  Imagine Lifestyles recommends the following five bars to find the best atmosphere to catch every game live.

1. Ginger’s Ale House

2. Fado

3. The Globe

4. Small Bar

5. ESPN Zone

Ginger’s Ale House (3801 N. Ashland)  Chicago’s only bar to ever be voted "Best Soccer Bar in the U.S." is our #1 spot to catch all the action next month.  Voted not once, but four years in a row, this Chicago bar is clearly the best we have to offer.  Ginger’s offers twenty HD TV’s and two giant projection screens showing live soccer from 11 AM to 2 AM.  Check with the bar as the action draws closer to see if they offer special hours of operation on game day.  Can’t get off from work in time to catch your favorite team?  Just ask the bartender and they will replay any game.

Fado (100 W. Grand) Fado, official bar of U.S. soccer, is one of Downtown’s only bars that show soccer and rugby 365 days a year.  Offering all 64 matches live, Fado is going to be the place to be downtown once the World Cup begins June 11th.  Don’t be surprised to find 300 screaming Englishmen emptying Guinness glasses at 7 a.m. if their favorite team is on the pitch.

The Globe Pub (1934 Irving Park Road) This north side neighborhood pub might just make our "Across the Pond" neighbors seem like they are back home for a few hours.  The walls of The Globe are covered with Premier League team banners, scarves, and memorabilia.  Over 20 beers are offered on tap from all around the world and the food here is some of the best around.  Get to The Globe Pub early on game day or expect a standing room only option for the big game.

Small Bar (3 Chicago Locations) with three different locations in the Chicago land area there is no excuse to miss any of the games on the Small Bar HD screens.  At Imagine, we prefer the Lincoln Park location at 1415 W. Fullerton just right down the street from our Chicago office.  All this month they are offering a send-off series highlighting all the U.S. National Team’s friendlies leading up to the World Cup.

ESPN Zone (43 East Ohio Street)  Now before you get upset that we chose this bar as one of our top five in Chicago, let us explain ourselves.  The bar has over 150 HD TV monitors to choose from.  Still need more reason?  How about the chance to be on TV as they re-cap some of the action you just watched.  Still not enough?  In between matches, enjoy over 10,000 square feet of interactive gaming excitement.  This is also our favorite spot for families because let’s be honest no children should be in any of our other top five bars when the U.S. upsets England June 12th.

Chicago is about to be taken over by the World Cup and we truly believe these are the best spots to catch every match.  Combine the World Cup with the Blackhawks in the Stanley Cup finals and all these bars are going to be crazy.  Make sure to contact Imagine Lifestyles to set up your luxury car rental needs before you head out on the town.  During a commerical break stop over to Imagine’s office and check out our fleet of Chicago luxury rental cars.

These next few weeks might be some of the best this city has seen since the "Jordan Era" Bulls were winning championships.  If you realize that you are unable to operate a car becuase you enjoyed yourself to much at the bar Imagine Lifestyles offers chauffeur service with some of our fleet of luxury and exotic cars.  Don’t be seen in anything but luxury.
