In addition to the Gumball and the Arab Run, exotic and luxury car fans can now relish the Royal Drive. This exotic racing event will feature up to 60 of the best exotic cars, including big boys Ferrari 458 Italia, Mercedes SLR 722S, Lamborghini LP670-4 SV, Gemballa Porsche Carrera GT Mirage lapping the Yas Marina Circuit.
Following the event, the exotic cars will then make haste to luxurious Dubai, where they will be displayed at the Jumeirah Beach Residences Walk.
This new annual supercar event was the brainchild of Luce Che Vola, and will be run alongside a sister event consisting of a 12-hour music festival featuring Grammy-winning band Gorillaz, Sean Kingston, Sash, TocaDisco and Guru Josh Project.
To break the program down further, participants will be put up in the Yas Hotel at the Yas Marina circuit. The first night there will be a luxury gala dinner where drivers can size up their competition.
Day two is the track time on the F1 circuit from 11am until 4pm, where drivers will push their exotic cars to the limit against others. This exhilarating event will be a spectacle of some of the world’s most precious metals.
Following the F1 circuit, drivers will be escorted convoy style to the Abu Dhabi Corniche, for a leisurely cruise along the beach boulevard and on to Dubai’s Festival city where the participants will check into the Intercontinental Hotel.
After check-in, it is off to the VIP section for the Elements Music Festival for the musical entertainment section of the luxury event.
Thus far, approximately 35 luxury cars from around the world have entered, and there are spots available. Entry fees are about $7,000 USD, with 25% of the profits being donated to charitable causes including the Haiti cause. This luxury event is backed by members of the Quatari royalty, with his Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Nassar Al Thani being the chairman of Luce Che Vola.
We are hoping there are luxury car rentals available in Dubai for non-owners who want to enter, because it would be very expensive to ship our own over.
