There is a God, The W Hotel Coming to South Beach Miami Florida

Upon completion this Spring the new, lavish W Hotel will be the most outrageous space on Miami Beach.  Mark our words, when the W Hotel opens on March 1, 2009 it will be an awakening, great for the tourists and sad for the competing hotels. The W's high brand name, along with Startwood Hotel's experience, attention to glam and impeccable service will result in one of the most fabulous hotel to hit Collins Avenue.  The sales office is to die for and the architectural models look bananas, the project is coming along on schedule and reservations will be taken as early as December for the March opening.  All 395 rooms will have Atlantic Ocean views thanks to some serious architectural prowess.

Those who didn't buy in the W will have to wait for re-sales (if there are any) because the building is sold out. The W Hotel & Residencies is in the heart of South beach on prime, prime real estate but we wouldn't expect less from the 5 star powerhouse. Dine at the chic Mr. Chow or Serafina Restaurants, pamper yourself at Bliss® Spa, bask in the Living Room on the Ocean or play in the WET® pool.

Some of the most fabulous celebrities and wealthiest jetsetters will reside in the Penthouses and bungalows, which feature the best of resort living.  Live luxuriously from the signature W bed to fully wired technology and the fabulously notorious Whatever/Whenever® service. Each room is furnished to the nines.  Owners are offered a W package of fine glass wear, silver wear and a few other nicks and knacks for almost $20,000, the point is that no cost is too steep. Experience state-of-the-art aesthetics and rich comfort in the W Hotel, coming soon.

Always a Shore Thing. Shore Club Hotel

Ian Schager is God and the Shore Club Hotel is a little piece of heaven.  The Shore Club Hotel is the most socially demanding on Miami Beach, A-lister like Matthew McConahey, Jay Z, Matt Damon and the Olsen twins frequent the hotel and, of course, Nobu.  Nobu restaurant has celebutaunte requirements, the sushi is light, expensive and always to die for. Dinner never starts before 10 and unless you have high connections, good luck trying to get in.  The bungalows that surround the back pool a.k.a Skybar, are celebrity hideaways. Baseball star Yankee shortstop, Derek Jeter rented Bungalow 8 last time he was in Miami Beach.  Bungalow 8, named after the famous New York City club, is actually the largest bungalow of the Shore Club bunch, it comes with its own private pool, 2 floors and a 24 hour butler service.  On that trip, we had our champagne served around the clock and played in the pool until the wee hours of morning with Jeter and friends.

Shore Club day pool sceneOn sundays the main pool is uber-sceney, probably the best day party on the Beach and always teaming with models. The actual hotel rooms are minimalist with splashes of color and the gym is 24 hours for the gym-arexics. The Scoop store and Me&Ro jewelry store in the lobby are always fabulous to shop and a phenomenal way to end the beach day.

The private penthouse on the roof is perfect for small parties and high-class get togethers, boasting crisp city views and a Shoreclub Penthouse Suitestunning pool. The Shore Club is located in the prime of Miami Beach on 19th and Collins Avenue and we always adore it!

Brooke Hogan for Playboy in Miami Beach

Brooke Hogan PosingWe last told you that Brooke Hogan had happily moved into the Flamingo Residencies on Miami Beach. It seems that since she's settled in, Hulk Hogan's not so virginal daughter seems to be headed for the pages of Playboy. Playboy has asked Brooke to do a photo shoot, possibly even a cover. The men's magazine features a WWE Diva in the nude every year and this would be the legendary Hulk Hogan's 18 year old daughter. Plus, Brooke fits the platinum blonde bill that Hef holds so dear to his own, ancient heart. The good news for all you Hogan fans is that Brook hasn't said no yet. The big bleach blonde hasn't posed nude but she had no qualms about posing in a teeny tiny bikini for the cover of FHM Magazine in 2006. The "Brooke Knows Best" (lamo) famo needs all the publicity she can get right now since her singing career bombed in 2006, when her album entitled "undiscovered" was undiscovered and only sold a dissapointing 127,000 copies. To the list of no talents, add can't act and also no fashion sense. We saw Brooke out in Miami Beach looking like a tranny streetwalker and who could ever forget those horrible jean chaps? However, we found a small talent so drumroll please, apparently, the ditzy blonde can roll around the Miami Beach shoreline without looking too much like a beached whale. When all else fails in the pursuit of fame, you either make a sex tape or take off your clothes for a risque photoshoot. A sex tape might be premature for her "good girl" image but Brooke does have large breasts, so flaunt what you got for Playboy honey.

Following the filming of the "Hogan Knows Best" reality show that followed the whole family, the Hogans fell apart. The Hulk had an affair, got divorced and his youngest son, Nick, went to jail.  The whole over-protective father thing has to be an act for the cameras.Brook Hogan

We bet the Hulk taught his daughter some serious wrestling moves that she's not just using in the ring, if you catch our drift. You know you're not even surprised, reality television is never that real anymore. What is real, is that the WWE icon Hulk Hogan is a wrestling has-been and someone still needs to bring home the money; so the Hulk is going to have to pimp out his daughter every chance he gets.

Ashlee and Jessica Simpson’s Very Private Performance at the Delano Hotel

Ashlee Simpson in the Delano 2005 Pre-nose job hottness and before divorce, Roma, Wentz, wedding and baby. When Ashlee Simpson was known as the not so cute, not so talented younger sis of Jessica Simpson, we spotted the sisters at the Delano Hotel. Along with the full family clan and Nick Lachey in tote, the girls were set to give a live exclusive performance in the Delano's back Water Salon and Orchard Garden. Jessica Simpson sang the wrong songs first line and stomped off stage, good thing there were no cameras present or it would have been another Simpson lip-singing fiasco. If you're wondering why this celeb gossip is relevant now, it's really not but the point is, that the Delano Hotel was a posh celeb locale back in '05 and in 2008 it still is. The Delano Hotel remains to be one of the most iconic hotels in South Beach.

Lenny Kravitz recently opened a lounge called Florida Room in the Delano Hotel. Florida Room @ the DelanoFlorida Room is a modern day piano lounge that boasts a see-through grand piano, that has been tickled by Kravitz himself and Jamie Foxx. A low, bronze mirrored ceiling and custom-designed chandeliers give the room back that classic South Floridian glamour of a bygone era. Over thirty specially concocted cocktails are infused with fresh exotic fruit and make getting drunk taste really good.

The Delano Hotel is located at 1685 Collins Ave, in South Beach is the lovechild of Philippe Starck and Ian Schrager. For those of you living under a rock, Philippe Starck is a famed French designer who is noted for his futuristic design style. Ian Schrager is an original founder of Studio 54, more importantly, he is the American hotelier and real estate developer who established the "boutique hotel" genre.

The hotel rooms are decked in all white and invibe a casual chic, urban resort feel. Chill in back by the surreal life-sized chessboard or take lunch on furniture placed whimsically in the pool. Let renowned chef Claude Troisgros serve up a modern French meal in the grand dining room or opt to alfresco on the terrace under the stars. Then hit up the lobby for some post-dinner drinks at The Rose Bar. There is a pool table, more mirrors and a la carte sushi all housed under custom Venetian chandeliers and opulent white drapes. Rose Bar has the most sophisticated and trendy social scene on Tuesday nights in South Beach.

Hot Girl on Girl Action in South Beach

Lindsay Lohan

Although they haven't officially come out yet, on the down low couple Lindsay Lohan and DJ Samantha Ronson were spotted at the Delano Hotel today.  The Delano hotel was designed by Ian Schrager in the mid-90's and has been a staple on Miami Beach ever since. The hotel caters to a bevy of A-list celebrities and high profile businessmen for up to 2k plus per night.

Samantha had a DJ-ing gig last Saturday at the Seminole Hard Rock & Casino Hotel and LaLohan stood close by all night.   The Hard Rock Hotel is located near Miami and is equipped with a massive 130,000-square-foot casino. It is the perfect hot spot for 20 somethings looking to gamble and party.

What were the girls doing in the July heat of Florida? It couldn't have been about the money from a second rate. We bet that the lovers were just looking for some quiet R&R away from the LA paparrazzi and tabloid speculation of an impending marriage. Just goes to show that Miami can still be a hip refuge in the summer. A little partying by night, relaxation on the beach by day and always girl on girl friendly. We know Lohan loves a fierce tan and Ronson could use a little color. Our advice to Lindsay and Samantha is to stay in the Setai Hotel next time, it's a few blocks up Collins and seriously sexy and secluded.

The Flamingo goes Brooke and Bust. Hogan in Miami Beach.

Brooke Hogan Miami BeachThe Flamingo is one of the biggest apartment complexes on South Beach. Adults with Peter Pan complexes, Tony Montana wantabees and even models flock to the Bay Road residencies but it's not enough to pull the building out of bankrupcy. In a last-age effort to grab some public attention the Flamingo moved Brooke Hogan in, yes we said Brook Hogan. If you don't know who she is, we don't blame you. The ditzy daughter of Hulk Hogan had a nonexistent singing career for a minute but is best known for her dad's reality show on VH1, "Hogan Knows Best." The show ended and the family went to hell but somehow Brooke landed her own solo gig and reality television hit an all new low. We watched the show for a couple minutes and believe we are now dumber for it.

The first episode started with Brooke living in an apartment up Collins Avenue called the Mosaic. The penthouse apartment was donated to her for publicity purposes but we guess she just wasn't cutting it and and they booted her. The Flamingo took sloppy seconds and moved Brooke Hogan to the 20th floor of its center tower.  We figure if Scarlett Johansson, Justin Timberlake and Shaquille O'Neal couldn't bring buyers and renters in then the Flamingo is a lost cause.  Brooke Hogan's beastliness romping through the Flamingo halls will only make apartments forclose faster, if thats even possible. The only thing the building had going for it was the newly renovated south tower, the lobby was turned into a classy haven but the exterior beautification wasn't enough to sell apartments. The circa 1970's stuccoed apartments are hideous, the garage shared by all three buildings is a death trap and central air is just not cool anymore. A tacky orange montra is painted all over the complex, " South Beach revolves around the Us." News flash Flamingo, if you weren't the biggest building on the beach no one would even know you existed. Maybe you should get Brooke Hogan some white paint and a brush and put her in front of the orange walls because re-painting the Flamingo might just be all she's good for.
