The Bugatti Chiron: Is This the Bugatti Veyron Replacement?

Bugatti Chiron

There is now a name to go along with all the rumors for the Bugatti Veyron replacement. Reports indicate that the next supercar from the brand could be the Bugatti Chiron and that she will be packing in the power department!

It gets better

Amid previous reports that the company will not increase the Bugatti Veyron’s 1,200 horses, the Chiron could house as many as 1,479. That would be thanks to a revision of the Veyron’s current quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter thirsty W16 engine. The extra power could even come from the addition of at least one, perhaps more, electric motors. Is Bugatti jumping on the alternative energy train? So long as the power keeps coming, I am fine with it. read more

Will The Bugatti Veyron Replacement Be Enough?

The Bugatti Veyron has both increased heart rates over the years and also broken them with the news of production coming to a halt. Not a brand to disappoint, what is thought to be the Bugatti Veyron replacement has already been spied testing on the Nurburgring…but will it be big and bad enough to fill its predecessor’s slot? From the photos, it just looks like a Veyron. This could be a clever disguise in efforts to test the hardware–or it could be that the brand intends to hold tenaciously to its image.
What is being dubbed the “white mule” is shown testing in the clip above. There is also a black and brown version that has been spied. read more

Bid Farewell: The Bugatti Veyron Had a Fabulous Run

 Bugatti Veyron replacement

While rumors have been spreading for a long while, Bugatti has finally admitted that the Veyron’s long run is over. Before the waterworks begin, there will be a Bugatti Veyron replacement. The successor will not seek to be a more powerful beast than the Veyron and it is not the Galibier sedan concept.

The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is the fastest production car on the planet. It will always be the best of the Veyrons, Halloween hued or not.

There is ample mystery shrouding the Bugatti Veyron replacement. Because it will not be even attempting to surpass the Veyron in the speed arena, perhaps replacement is not the right word. I will go with Veyron follow-up. Wolfgang Schreiber spilled the bad news as follows: “There will  not be a successor of the Veyron because you cannot succeed the Veyron.”  This seems to be a touch on the confident side, and competitors will certainly never stop trying to outdo the beast for the coveted title of ‘Fastest Production Car’. I am looking to you, Hennessey. read more
