Sleek and Stunning, the Bugatti Grand Sport Makes its Debut

Bugatti Grand Sport A topless transition from the Veyron, the new Bugatti Grand Sport will set you back a stratospheric $2 million dollars.  The design is elegant, not intimidating, and the interior engulfs driver and passenger in luxury.  The interior leather is pure of grain, originating from Alpine bovines raised at altitudes high enough to lack the insect pests that would mar their skin.  Now that is smooth.

Impressed yet?  This luxury car is capable of a cool blast-off from zero to 62 miles per hour in 2.7 seconds.  If you press the accelerator for seven seconds, you can become a blur reaching speeds of over 125 miles per hour-leaving gawkers to wonder "What is that?"  You could conceivably go 188 miles per hour, but would require a fuel stop every ten minutes.  The EPA economy numbers are not a concern to potential buyers, renters or owners of this exotic beast, but for the record they are 8-mpg city, 14-mpg highway.

This  ridiculously racy car demands attention, and definitely gets it in spades.  This is one of the mBugatti Grand Sport luxury carost expensive, exclusive, and fastest production cars on earth.  A delicious sight and an almost devious experience to encounter, the Bugatti Grand Sport could qualify as one of the wonders of the world.  Other savvy selections and recommendations for exotic sports convertible rentals include the Aston Martin V8 Vantage rental, the Bentley GTC convertible rental, and the Ferrari F430 Spyder rental

The $12 Million Ferrari Exotic 250TR. Luxury Exotic Sports Car Still Thriving.

The very rare 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa just sold at auction for about $12.2 million. This means: A. that somebody still has a lot of money, and, B. a new world record for the most expensive motor car sold at auction has been set.

"The historical significance of this car attracted a bidding war as collectors from around the world – both in the room and on the telephone – competed to secure one of the most alluring and iconic of all Ferrari racing cars," said Max Girardo, Managing Director of RM Auctions Europe. “The quality and the provenance of the Testa Rossa speaks for itself and the price we achieved today is testament to that.”

This Ferrari Scaglietti-designed "pontoon-fender" 250 Testa Rossa was one of only 22 ever made. Yet, the 250 TR is one of the most identifiable racing cars in Ferrari history and is coveted by Ferrari collectors. Famous car collector Ralph Lauren actually owns two. Maybe Ralph Lauren can set the new world record with one of his Ferrari 250 TRs, not that he cares.

The 2010 Ferrari California Unveiled

Drum roll please, here is the Ferrari California unveiled…

Ferrari is planning to take some market share from the AMG Mercedes SL, the Bentley Continental GTC, and the Aston DB9 Volante with the 2010 Ferrari California. Ferrari had introduced direct fuel inject technology to their famous V8, positioned over the front axle. A new 4.3 liter V8  will do zero to 60 mph in around 4 seconds with a 194 mph V-max. Additionally, the California’s new seven speed twin-clutch transmission changes gears faster than the F430 Scuderia.

Ferrari predicts that 70% of California customers will be new to the marque and most likely not serious drivers. Which is exactly what Ferrari wanted with the California; a target market that rather play a leisure round of golf than do Ferrari Challenge laps. The push-button automatic hardtop does an up-and-down in 14 seconds and roof up, the California can fit two sets of gold clubs in the trunk. The 2010 Ferrari California will write a new chapter in history for the famous Italian automaker. For a firm built on racing laurels and Formula One victories it seems popularity and commodity are most important right now. Ferrari wants to sell the new model for under $190,000, possibly even less. With a lower price and more versatile coupe-convertible body, Ferrari may just dilute the Ferrari brand name. Tell us what you think? One thing is definite, you can bet on seeing a few Ferrari Californias in your neighborhood by 2010.
