I am a reader of your blog and a fan. I am about to propose to my girlfriend of 2 years, and have been researching ideas for how to pop the question. I have considered renting a luxury car, or maybe a private yacht for a day to surprise her. What awesome proposals have you helped with in the past, and what do you recommend? Any tips would be helpful.
On top of being a Bugatti, this mega-brand gets the added perk of being the fastest luxury car available right now. I love the aluminum W16 Engine with the astounding 1001 horses. Yum. The base price of $1,700,000 is totally worth this badass sports car…I may even trade my dignity in for one.
The SSC Ultimate Aero shoots up to 257 mph, much like an arrow. And it hits the 0-60 mark in 2.7 head-jerking seconds (insert dirty joke). It boasts a hot V8 Twin-Turbo engine with 1183 horses with a base price of $654,000. That price is a bit more palatable than the Bugatti. This was the fastest car in the world from March of 2007 until July 2010, when the Bugatti Veyron flew by it.
It seems that a San Jose woman has a bit of an issue with exotic cars, and not in a good way. Nancy Chi Ni, 30, has been arrested six times since June on suspicion of vandalizing luxury cars, including BMWs and Mercedes-Benz’s in Santa Clara County. So what is this woman’s problem with awesome cars? I smell jealousy.
While she should certainly learn to admire rather than envy, it seems crazy lady’s problems include 11 counts of felony vandalism and committing a crime while being released on bail. Yes, at the time of her most recent arrest, Ni was out on bail for a similar offense. I suppose she is not interested in stopping.
So how did she get busted?
It seems that an officer observed Ni as she scratched the side of a parked Mercedes-Benz in the McCarthy
Ranch shopping center. Classy. The officer spotted Ni acting suspiciously around another Mercedes-Benz, which had been vandalized in the same manner, according to reports.
In the city of Hell, Michigan, a car club has made headlines by attempting to set the world record for the longest procession of hearses. Yes, that was hearses, not horses, as in the death mobile of the auto industry. What the hell, you say? Indeed.
The car club is named ‘Just Hearse’N Around’, and went after the Guinness World Record from their hometown near Detroit. The club did not obtain the world record, but a good time was had and participants were happy in Hell (Michigan, that is).
In order to qualify for the world record, each of the hearses was to be driven in procession for just over two miles. A solemn 43 hearses showed up for the annual event, starting in Hell and ending at the Terrified Forest in Pinckney, Michigan. So they attempt this every year? Who the hell holds the current record? My best guess would be the funeral of Princess Di, or Elvis. So what are the participants like?
For the lucky ones who will be joining us in South Beach and Miami for this fall’s action packed agenda of concerts, I have put together a list of some of the artists and lyrical geniuses who will be performing in September and October 2010.
These Miami concerts are at various South Florida locations and promise to sizzle!
A 1964 Aston Martin DB5 graced by none other than 007 himself is set to hit the auction block in London on October 27th, 2010. The luxury car is expected to rake in an estimated $5 million dollars when it changes hands at Sotheby’s.
Wow, $5 million smackaroos is a bit more than the $12,000 paid by the current owner, Jerry Lee, when he purchased the DB5 from Aston Martin in 1969. It certainly seems that Mr. Lee stands to make a profit! Of course, the fetching price is steep for this particular Aston Martin as it hit the big screen with James Bond in both early films “Goldfinger” and “Thunderball”. So if it is a 1964 yet Mr. Lee purchased it from Aston Martin in 1969, what happened in the interim?
The 2009 Chevrolet Corvette is America’s version of a sports car at its finest. One of Imagine Lifestyles Chicago favorite sports cars just keeps getting better year after year. Imagine Lifestyles is proud to have the corvette in our fleet of Chicago exotic rental cars. Providing exotic-car performance for realistic price tags is just one of many attractive features offered by Chevrolet. Now you can take this luxury rental car for a spin next time you are in Chicago, IL with your very own exotic rental from Imagine Lifestyles. The unique gunmetal grey color is one of our favorite aspects of this vehicle, differentiating it from other corvettes on Chicago streets.

The 6.2-liter V8 cranks out 436 hp, just 44 hp shy of the higher-priced Porsche 911 Turbo. The vehicle also weighs less than 3,200 pounds, allowing for top speeds. The vehicle also offers a tremendous amount of trunk space and a very user-friendly interior package. The convertible body style and glass top roof allow for some sunbathing while you drive as well.

While it will likely remain a concept, the Lamborghini Indomable is certainly some food for thought, eye candy to be exact. What is so special about this concept Lamborghini? For starters, it is based on a mash between the Gallardo and an F22 jet fighter. Yes please.
Lamborghini took time out of its packed schedule touting the new Jota is the potential replacement for the Murcielago to help inspired students with this concept. The Lamborghini Indomable was designed and developed by students Daniel Chinchilla Ochoa and Alberto Fernandez Albilares at the Scuola Politecnica di Design Master in collaboration with Lamborghini. The project was overseen by head of the Centro Stile Filipo Perini and designer Alessandro Salvagnin.
The Lamborghini concept’s exterior is unbelievable, with even more lines and curves than the already voluptuous design cues that are classically Lambo. Oh and it is inspired by the next generation stealth F22 jet fighters, making it the Chuck Norris of Lamborghinis. While this is awesome, it is not the first time a luxury car has taken design cues from a jet, remember the Range Rover’s interior, inspired by a cockpit? Thank you Design Q!
The Indomable Lambo in its concept phase is a V10 supercar, with an engine visible through a Y-shaped class surface reminiscent of the F22 Raptor. The bonnet boasts elements borrowed from the jet, with rectangular intakes to cool the brakes. The rear of the Lambo features a taillight that doubles as a wing, integrating LED lights with a honeycomb shape.
According to the students,

“The side view shows an abstraction of a folded wing, which gives the feeling that the car is waiting for the action, like a jetfighter before the take off in a carrier."
I, for one, want to see this supercar concept bolt right off the paper and into garages and showrooms around the world. Perhaps if it could also fly…
Gone are the days when limousines were strictly for uber rich characters like Richard Gere in ‘Pretty Woman’. In increasing numbers, business and regular people are opting for a little luxury in their travels with either a limousine rental or chauffeured luxury car rental. How daring eh?
Yes, in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, it is hip to indulge in a luxury car rental, especially a chauffeured car for those special nights out. Beautiful luxury cars, SUV rentals, limos and more roll down Ocean Avenue regularly, and inside each one is a new story to tell. There are so many reasons why an exotic rental is the way to go, and even more occasions for it!
Here are just a few occasions for a luxury car rental Miami style:
• Father’s Day
• Mother’s Day
• Birthday
• First date
• College graduation
• Valentine’s Day
• Marriage proposal
• Anniversary
• Weekend getaway
• Girls/Guys night out
• Any other special occasion!
Volkswagen AG’s more upscale Audi brand is aiming high, with plans to target people who want a sportier family car. The new A7 Sportback is geared toward providing the luxury sport family car experience. That also means that Audi essentially plans to infiltrate the sales of BMW and Daimler AG in luxury cars.
According to Volkswagen AG’s Chief Financial Officer Axel Strotbek,
“We’re pushing into customer groups that are willing to pay more for their car, and that’s where the A7 will play an important role. It is clearly going to help us with our profitability.”
Like the Phoenix rising from the ashes, the 2011 Audi A7 is set to hit the Western Europe market as soon as October, for the bargain price of approximately $66,000. It is a bold move by the luxury company that will hopefully result in increased sales and stability. The plan is to increase the compact and mid-size auto sales from 250,000 to 400,000 by 2015, largely with the help of the new A7 niche.
