BMW Owner to Sue Over 20mph Zoning—Claims it Causes Damage to the Engine

A displeased BMW owner in Germany is prepared to sue her local city council if they implement plans for a blanket 20 mile per hour speed limit. Sound crazy? Not so fast—Diane Greenwood, 47, claims that her BMW struggles to cope in fourth gear at such low speeds, which would force her to drive around in third gear, which would in turn place undue strain on the engine and emit more pollution.

We certainly wouldn’t want any undue stress on our fabulous BMW rental fleet, and understand her concerns.

Bentley to Offer High-Speed Ice Lake Tours

Bentley is touting its badass side, offering up a new “Power on Ice” tour that allows customers to drive a Bentley over snow and ice. I suppose the brand feels it must compete with the likes of Ferrari and their Winter Driving Program, aimed to educate drivers on proper handling in all-weather conditions (follow link for full details and to see the Ferrari FF on ice!) Note: Bentleys can hit speeds of 205 mph on ice!

Fisker Karma Makes Cameo in “Men”

The downward spiral of Charlie Sheen has led to many changes, including the cast of hit series “Two and a Half Men”. It seems that the producers are eager to alter the image of the show, replacing bad-boy Sheen with a milder and eccentric Walden Schmidt, played by actor and comedian Ashton Kutcher. Schmidt is a do-good type, who even drives a luxury hybrid car in the first episode, the Fisker Karma.
