Imagine Lifestyles Takes Fantasy Fest 2015 by the Horns…With Horsepower

Fantasy Fest 2015 in trendy Philadelphia was a home run yet again this year, with Imagine Lifestyles Luxury Rentals front and center for all of the action. What is the fastest way to attract everyone within earshot to your booth? There is no megaphone required when you have two Lamborghini cars to rev up at the same time. It is the most exhilaration one can have in the presence of local vendors, exotic dancer booths and the standard cute beer stand girls. While the Lamborghinis were not open for rides that day–the plastic shark designed to toss riders off like a bull certainly was. Awkward? Indeed. Hilarious? You betcha. read more

Action: The McLaren 675LT is Just Naughty

McLaren 675LT

The McLaren brand is not known for churning out slackers, and the fierce McLaren 675LT is just naughty. Check out the clip below of the supercar tackling the track, complete with delicious close-ups of that throbbing engine and all of that carbon fiber!

Get an intense glimpse of the McLaren 675LT and an ear full of her now-famous acoustics. The notes and throbbing produced by the highly specialized engine have made for much fanfare in the game thus far.

The McLaren 675LT at a glance:

  • This model is a track-focused variant from the McLaren Super Series
  • It is both the lightest and most powerful track car crafted by the brand, tipping the scale at a scant 2,712 pounds.
  • Driver engagement is brought to an all-time high via a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine kicking out the acoustics of 666 horses. The devilish roar can be heard in the video clip, but be warned: you will want to watch it more than once.
  • The performance, drive and intoxicating sounds are being compared to the likes of the Lexus LFA supercar. The LFA gained much notoriety based on her sounds alone, but the speed and driver experience certainly did not hurt matters.
  • That rich color is called Napier Green
  • New lightweight titanium crossover exhaust
  • Wider stance and stiffer suspension tweaks for the track
  • Resurrected GT racing long tail heritage

The 675LT model is being built in the pristine McLaren Production Centre in Woking, England and is also undergoing extensive hyper testing to ensure that it is perfection on the pavement. The production run of just 500 units was confirmed at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, with each unit will go for around $400,000 depending on the trim. Overall, it is well-worth the cost to catapult from not to 60 miles per hour in 2.9 seconds. read more

Aston Martin Vulcan Will Boast 24 Limited Edition Cars

Aston Martin Vulcan

This year luxury carmaker Aston Martin announced the arrival of its response to the multi-million dollar supercar competition that has been escalating: The $2.3 million dollar Aston Martin Vulcan. The track focused Vulcan is so intense and aggressive that the brand requires that drivers be specially trained to operate it in order to, you know, stay alive.

The Aston Martin Vulcan hypercar is in direct competition with other multi-million dollar rides and will likely hold her own.

Because the throaty Aston Martin Vulcan is not exactly ready at this stage in the development funnel, buyers are being trained on lesser models like the Aston Martin V12 Vantage S. The Vantage S is sibling to the rare One-77, featuring its mostly carbon fiber frame tub and full FIA specification roll cage. Just 24 Aston Martin Vulcan cars will be produced, bringing in approximately $56 million for the company. Because it is likely that all units will be presold, it will make a fine payday, indeed! read more

Some Say This Is The Raciest Rolls-Royce Ever

Rolls-Royce Wraith

This rich red dish is the Rolls-Royce Wraith. The color red is not exactly the first shade one envisions coating a sophisticated and generally understated luxury vehicle like a Rolls-Royce–but that little visual expectation only seems to add to the intoxicating effect. The color is a special edition named “St. James”, for the patron saint of Portugal and Spain.

Does the Rolls-Royce Wraith do red right? Look out, Ferrari! All images ©Rolls-Royce

The St. James red Wraith pays homage to the patron saint via the rich color, shapely fastback body and name. There are ample chrome accents to glitter in the sun and the iconic suicide doors that have been capturing hearts and raising pulses for decades. The overall curb appeal is polished off with two-tone silver and gloss black wheels. Imagine arriving to any event in this vehicle—the exuberance would be unparalleled. It is highly unlikely to ever join an exotic rental car fleet, but there will always be other Rolls-Royce rentals to enjoy as the new models emerge. read more

What Happens When Autonomous Cars Crash Into Each Other?

Autonomous cars

There has been some chatter hitting the headlines about a Google autonomous car cutting off an Audi driverless car. While many wild theories circulated, it seems that the scenario was a planned exercise by the companies to see how their wares interacted under real world conditions when cut off, even by another autonomous car. So what would happen if two autonomous vehicles crashed into each other?

While all companies touting their autonomous technology want to highlight the positive points and reiterate that the other points are still being ironed out, it is entirely feasible that these types of vehicles can collide, though it is not quite likely. There are precious few driverless cars on the roads today, because not many have the legal permits required to do so. Google and Delphi Automotive have the jump on competitors, as they are not only already out on the roads testing, but they are interacting with each other for testing strategies to simulate real driving exposures. read more
