Who Owns The Most Expensive Home in the U.S.?

Is it Oprah?  Maybe it is an oil tycoon, famous racecar driver, or perhaps a former child star?  Wrong-o.  It is the “Billion Dollar Man” himself, Donald Trump.  And how much was the most expensive house in the$125 Million Dollar Trump Estate nation going for you ask?  That would be about $125 million dollars, please.

Unfortunately, Trump only received $100 million for his $41 million dollar investment (he bought it as a foreclosure property).  And the lucky new owner?  A Russian billionaire who plans to subdivide the luxury property.

The sprawling luxury estate is located in the sought-after north side of West Palm Beach, our neighbor to the north.  The views from the luxury Trump estate are primarily Ocean, boasting panoramic views provided by oversized windows.  The hallways are equally cavernous, feeling more like a long room.  You can definitely tell that this estate was designed to host parties and events.

The sheer size of the Trump estate is gasp-worthy.  There are 18 bedrooms, and 22 baths, spanning approximately 80,000 square feet over 7 acres.  There are 500 lavish feet of private beachline on the propertTrump's $125 Million Palm Beach Estate y, where we assume you can either wear your latest swimwear, or go au-natural if you wish.  Hey, it is private.

Inside, no expense was spared.  Visitors enter into a luxurious conservatory overlooking the Atlantic.  The kitchen is adorned with mahogany cabinetry and stainless steel modern appliances.  It seems like everywhere you look there is marble and granite.

The infinity edge pool features expansive Ocean views, and a hot tub.  The pool is 140 feet long and 40 feet wide, so you won’t be crowded by other swimmers, ever.  That is a mean game of "Marco-Polo".

There are three “cottages” on the property, if you consider 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and a kitchen a mere cottage.
As we mentioned, this property was a foreclosure, and was on the market for over 2 years.

What is crazy is that Donald did not even live in this estate during the time it was on the market; he resided at his Marlago golf course, which is west of A1A, with inferior views of the Ocean.

We are sure Trump’s realtor heaved a heavy sigh of relief to sell the luxury property, they certainly did not want to be FIRED…(Sorry…you know we love our jabs).

Just Store Your Lambo in Your Living Room, Like this Guy

There is definitely a sense of pride that accompanies the ownership of an exotic car, like a Ferrari, LaKRE House Lamborghini Garagemborghini, Maserati and the like.  This pride can often evolve into an extremely creative idea by an owner, like a man in Tokyo who hired designer Takyua Tsuchida to transform his home into a display for his exotic cars.

His main request?  That the Lamborghini be visible from the living room.  And with the push of a button, the Lambo can actually enter the living room.  We like the way this guy thinks, we would rather watch our plasma screen T.V.’s from the comfort of our…Lamborghini.

BMW To Develop Engines for Police Cars?

If you are a fan of the muscle car classics, you know that the good ole’ boys often had a good time running from the local deputies.  They may not have been as lucky, had the deputies been driving a patrol car with a decent engine.  For example, BMW has recently won a contract to supply engines for U.S. police cars that could be worth approximately $1.35 billion dollars.

We doubt they will be faster than a Hemi.  And we can’t envision them running down a Dodge Challenger, Charger, or other heavy blast from the past.  But it is a step in the right direction, as the Crown Vics are tired.  We cannot have our city’s finest driving wholesale rejects from the rest of us.

The word is that the luxury carmaker will supply roughly 240,000 six-cylinder diesel engines, cooling systems, automatic transmissions, and Carbon Motors E7 Squad Car exhausts to Carbon Motors Corporation of Indiana.  This marks the largest contract since 2007, when BMW announced its intentions to provide engine sales to other companies.

These BMW engines come with a price tag of around $3,000 each.  Carbon Motors was established in 2003, and is in the process of developing the E7.  The Carbon Motors E7, as we have covered in the past, is the first-ever car designed and developed exclusively for the U.S. police.

As for all the money, President Obama has provided a loan to the tune of $310 million  (from the U.S. Department of Energy) for Carbon Motors to develop the E7 in efforts to reduce law-enforcement costs and curb emissions.  Yet that is hardly in the billions range, we are curious if the project will stall should the funding run out.

German engineers Brabus have just revealed their latest competitor to the black hole, the new E V12010 Mercedes E V12 Black Baron2 Black Baron sedan.  It is based on the new 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class W 212.  It is also like Darth Vader, a black matte uber-Benz that swallows all light upon contact.  This luxury car has a serious dark side.

Aesthetics aside, it boasts a newly developed BRABUS SV12 R biturbo 800 twelve-cylinder displacement engine.  The twin-turbo 6.3-liter V12 engine, puts out approximately 800 horsepower (we are betting on black horses) and 1,047 pound-feet of torque.

Exotic Destinations: Meet Ferrari World Abu Dhabi

Move over Mickey Mouse, the world’s fastest theme park is set to make history in 2010, in the form of “Ferrari World”.  We even like the way the words feel rolling off of our tongues…Ferrari World.

The only unfortunate thing about Ferrari World so far is that it is so far…away.   Ferrari World is located in Abu Dhabi, which is no problem save the fact that it is on the opposite side of the planet.

Bugatti Unveils Two Special Edition Carbon Models at Geneva Motor Show

Yes, Bugatti has doubled-up for this year’s Geneva Motor Show, gracing us with not one, but two amazing cars:  The Grey Carbon a2010 Bugatti Grand Sport Grey Carbonnd the Blue Carbon.  Both models attended the show topless, and both are outstanding.  Too bad these are the only two that will be produced.

The actual names are a bit lengthy:  The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Grey Carbon, and the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Blue Carbon.  That is six words per name, and we find the whole “grand sport” part to be unnecessary, as it is obvious by looking at the sleek bodies of these beauties.  Perhaps the names are the only part we would change.
