For those of you who are savvy in the world of shotguns and firearms, you already know that some of the best guns, according to some, are actually called “Best Gun”, as in “London Best”, a piece that costs more than a freakin Ferrari!
In fact, you may be able to purchase two Ferraris, Lamborghinis or other supercars in the typical $200,000 range for just one of these luxury collector guns. So what makes a “London Best” so special?
It is a double-barreled shotgun created as if it were a piece of art, with careful precision. Shotgun aficionados can spot a London Best in a crowd, much like women can spot a Coach bag or anything by Luis Vuitton. A best gun is made of the highest quality and finish and is top-grade by a top manufacturer. The quality is outstanding, and mirrors the same idea as opting for an Aston Martin rental over a standard car rental, you know you are getting something special.
When it comes to luxe hotels, the Ritz Carlton tends to uh, put on the Ritz. This ritzy-glitzy upscale hotel chain is renowned worldwide for its swanky digs, and it is even better nestled on Grand Cayman Island! Let’s see how it stacks up to the Ritz-Carlton South Beach we are so familiar with.
Recently in Maranello, Ferrari has unwrapped the details for its latest Ferrari Challenge, the 458 Challenge. While solid dates are unavailable, details for the svelte new prancing horse are abundant, let’s see how it measures up!
Like the Ferrari F430 Challenge before, and the others before it, the Ferrari 458 Challenge is a luxury event that fans and owners count down the days for annually, much like kiddies do for Christmas Day! It is the time of year when Ferrari owners and fans congregate to race their exotic and luxury car rentals and feel like Steve McQueen! Don’t exactly own a Ferrari 458? No worries, you can enter the Ferrari Challenge in a Ferrari rental, so long as it is the right model for the year, and your ass is adequately insured!
With the increasing chatter about the Chinese and Indian markets being the new luxury market leaders, there certainly is plenty to discuss. Now Bugatti is giving us a bit more to talk about, by bringing the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport to India. But will the Indian market be interested in investing in a $3.6 million dollar supercar, the fastest and most expensive car in the world, to drive on predominantly poorly maintained, single-lane roads? There are multi-lane roads available in areas, but they are often just like the photo above.
By contrast, India is also where the world’s cheapest car, the Tata Nano, originated. I suppose you could say India has come full circle! Bugatti will now be joining the ranks of other exotic and luxury car rental brands like Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Bentley, Aston Martin, Ferrari and Porsche, who are all trying their luck in these emerging markets. For some reason I am thinking of the infamous western ‘Goldrush’.
While luxury cars represent less than 1 percent of the total Indian market, it has grown 10 percent per year, with positive projections for future growth. The target consumers for the Bugatti are the new kings of India, the 69 individuals who form the largest group of dollar billionaires outside of the States. These people, and those who already own luxury cars but crave something flashier to flaunt are the ideal audience for a supercar of this caliber.
While the company seems hopeful, the fact remains that the Bugatti Veyron’s $3.6 million dollar price tag is almost four times more than any other exotic vehicle sold in India, and that includes the ultra-luxe Rolls-Royce Phantom and the Maybach. True to luxury car marketing strategy, only 150 units of the Veyron will be produced, which should work in the company’s favor, revving up that exclusive appeal.
But I am still curious who would want to drop $3.6 million on a car that will spend the majority of its life in bottleneck traffic and ricocheting between potholes? I recommend a Bugatti-hovercraft for the Indian market.
At the Paris Auto Show Ferrari unleashed a new beast, dubbed the Ferrari SA Aperta. This luxury car has been created to honor the 80th anniversary of a long collaboration between Pininfarina and Ferrari. Pininfarina is basically synonymous with Ferrari at this point, having designed some of the most breathtaking cars for the brand.
The SA Aperta Ferrari will be exclusive, as one would expect with a special edition luxury car. Only 80 SA Aperta’s will roll out of the Maranello Ferrari plant, and every last one has already been sold following a private event at Pebble Beach Concours. The rumored selling price was around $540,000 USD. I suppose we at Imagine Lifestyles will not be offering a Ferrari SA Aperta rental any time soon, as they are all taken! This would be a perfect car to add to a fleet of Miami exotic car rentals and Chicago luxury rental cars.
The SA Aperta will sport such a wide range of interior trim options that it is pretty much ensured no two of the 80 supercars will be the same!
Dear Ferrari…Damn! The Ferrari 612 GTO concept is so hot that I am at a loss for words. In the realm of concept supercars, Sasha Selipanov of Berlin, Germany has certainly outdone himself!
I imagine that designing a luxury concept car like a Ferrari can be a bit daunting, because is seems that it would be a challenge to improve upon perfection. I wonder if designers just start drawing, with no brand in mind. This Ferrari concept is obviously the product of much talent and skill. This is a perfect car to add to a fleet of Miami luxury rental cars or Chicago exotic car rentals.
The renderings show the designer’s various nods to some of the greatest supercars in history, like the Ferrari 250 GTO’s hood scoops and the new Ferrari 458’s headlamps and hind fender haunches. There are also hints of the Ferrari 575 Maranello in the 612 GTO concept. This is a remarkable and inspiring auto concept that is a nice direction for Ferrari.
The latest Ferrari to prance its horses for the auto world is the Ferrari 458 Italia, replacement for last year’s amazing Ferrari F430. The F430 Spider was the topless version of the coupe, and now rumors are circulating that the luxury and exotic car leader may be drawing up plans for a 458 Italia convertible. I certainly hope for the rumors to be true, we need one for our Ferrari rental Miami fleet.
The 458 Italia is a stunner, imagine it with its top off! Delicious sneak peek renderings of what the Ferrari 458 Italia convertible would look like are already saturating the Internet, fueling speculation that it could indeed occur. I assume it would be named the Ferrari 458 Italia Spider, if it follows in the tracks of its successful predecessor, the Ferrari F430 Spider rental.
I am a reader of your blog and a fan. I am about to propose to my girlfriend of 2 years, and have been researching ideas for how to pop the question. I have considered renting a luxury car, or maybe a private yacht for a day to surprise her. What awesome proposals have you helped with in the past, and what do you recommend? Any tips would be helpful.
On top of being a Bugatti, this mega-brand gets the added perk of being the fastest luxury car available right now. I love the aluminum W16 Engine with the astounding 1001 horses. Yum. The base price of $1,700,000 is totally worth this badass sports car…I may even trade my dignity in for one.
The SSC Ultimate Aero shoots up to 257 mph, much like an arrow. And it hits the 0-60 mark in 2.7 head-jerking seconds (insert dirty joke). It boasts a hot V8 Twin-Turbo engine with 1183 horses with a base price of $654,000. That price is a bit more palatable than the Bugatti. This was the fastest car in the world from March of 2007 until July 2010, when the Bugatti Veyron flew by it.
For the lucky ones who will be joining us in South Beach and Miami for this fall’s action packed agenda of concerts, I have put together a list of some of the artists and lyrical geniuses who will be performing in September and October 2010.
These Miami concerts are at various South Florida locations and promise to sizzle!
