New York native Anthony Bourdain has certainly attainted an esteemed career, including author, TV persona and renowned celebrity chef, a series of awesomeness that began as a lowly dishwasher in New York! Yes, now a celebrity chef, Bourdain admits that he does see the irony in the fact that he has always loathed uh…celebrity chefs.

What? That is like driving a Lamborghini Gallardo rental NY but claiming to hate them. Well, I suppose his unique take on the role allows him to express his true feelings.

Either way, I appreciate Bourdain’s complete lack of a filter and ability to marinate in every culture he encounters on his robust and intensely absorbing Travel Channel show, ‘No Reservations’. Clever title, eh? Well, when you ingest things like brains and blood sausage on television, I suppose you can’t have too many reservations!

A Delicious Auction of Rare Centerfolds, Thank You Christie’s!

Luxury auction house Christie’s certainly knows how to rev up engines, as in the exotic car rentals and more that often end up on its chopping block. But now the good people at Christie’s are offering up something on the sexy side, in the form of centerfolds, art and photographs and life-sized plexiglass sculptures from the Playboy of Hef’s prime! Come to think of it, Hef’s prime seems to be permanent, he is way cooler than 007 and all of his Aston Martin rentals put together.

Looking at this eyesore-extravaganza makes me wish Bentley, or whoever is responsible for this monstrosity of a custom paint job, had the heart to tell Paris Hilton NO. Has anyone ever done that, by the way? I can only assume that she did not get to color enough Easter eggs as a child. This would never survive as a luxury rental car, so I shudder to think of what will happen to this Bentley once Paris tires of it. Speaking of tires, scope the rims she has on it, ouch.

Smirnoff has been displaying an increasing urge to create its own unique television content, and the brand continues its quest for domination as Diageo Smirnoff launches its first brand-produced reality show. The show will be called “Master of the Mix”, a reality competition and ad campaign rolled into one neat little package.

This sounds similar to reality shows like “Top Chef”, “America’s Next Top Model” and the like. Yawn…I feel like this reality craze is spinning out of control. I would love to see some fresh ideas generated by the major brands of the world. Continuously repeating what caused others success in the past does not breed creativity, but rather stagnates the entertainment industry.

Something awesome is going on in South Florida. Gloria Estefan Defies Death at Dolphins Game

Even writing that headline amused me, and so did the antics of singer and minority owner of the Miami Dolphins, Gloria Estefan. Estefan climbed from the window of her luxury box at Sunday nights Dolphins Vs New York Jets game, due to the entrance becoming inexplicably locked.

It seems Estefan and guests became trapped somehow in the luxury box at Sun Life Stadiu Gloria Estefan Miami Dolphins m in Miami sometime prior to halftime of the game. Now people are talking about how badass Estefan is for kicking off her Dolphin-colored Yves Saint Laurent pumps and essentially became like Spiderman, scaling down from the third-level of the stadium as fans watched and snapped photos from below. You go girl!

It remains unclear how the high-profile group became stuck in the luxury box, but it has been reported that locksmiths, stadium security and even local firefighters failed at freeing the group. I think it is kinda sexy that Estefan climbed out the window, rather than waited for a rescue like a fairy tale. She’s like 007, I think for the next Dolphins game she should just use our Aston Martin rental free of charge, and be James Bondish.

So was it an attempted sabotage from a Jets fan? Well, if that is indeed what it was, Estefan still made it from her suite to the football field in time to introduce Enrique Iglesias for his halftime show. I find this to be awesome, well done Gloria!
