Film Companies Dragging Feet in 3D Race?

If you are an avid technology geek, and currently have your brand new 3-D HDTV and 3-D Blu-ray player prominently displayed in your entertainment area at home, you likely already know that there are some issues.  The most obvious issue being, what the hell to watch?  Companies are not just dragging their feet to release 3D videos after the onslaught of 3D films that have hit the big screen-they are tripping over them!3D Movies at Home

Because unless you are 12, most of the latest Blu-Ray and HDTV compatible options are limited to children’s films.  And what is going on with the new 3D burst?  Companies have burst forth with delightful 3D theater experiences; yet appear to be dragging their feet in the area of releasing those same flicks in 3D for consumption.  What I am trying to relay is, I want a kick-ass 3D experience available from the comfort of my home, on a screen the size of a small spaceship, so that I can make all of my friends jealous…I mean, so I can enjoy my favorite theatrical performances in 3D.

$300 Million Dollar Michelangelo Found Behind Couch

Couches are often traps for keys, loose change, remote controls and other common household items.  But in Buffalo, New York, a family discovered that an old painting tucked behind their couch is likely a Michelangelo, worth an estimated $300 million dollars.  And I thought it was cool to discover a $20 now aMichelangelo Paintingnd then…or my Wii controller.

The pricey painting had been laying low behind the couch for approximately 27 years, according to the New York Post.  So how did it end up there?  It was apparently knocked off its post by a tennis ball, and eventually simply wrapped up and stowed away, rather than properly re-mounted.

Luxury List: The London Best Shotgun $400,000

For those of you who are savvy in the world of shotguns and firearms, you already know that some of the best guns, according to some, are actually called “Best Gun”, as in “London Best”, a piece that costs more than a freakin Ferrari!

In fact, you may be able to purchase two Ferraris, Lamborghinis or other supercars in the typical $200,000 range for just one of these luxury collector guns.  So what makes a “London Best” so special?

London Best Shotguns in Luxury Case

It is a double-barreled shotgun created as if it were a piece of art, with careful precision.   Shotgun aficionados can spot a London Best in a crowd, much like women can spot a Coach bag or anything by Luis Vuitton.  A best gun is made of the highest quality and finish and is top-grade by a top manufacturer.  The quality is outstanding, and mirrors the same idea as opting for an Aston Martin rental over a standard car rental, you know you are getting something special.

Most Expensive: $5 Million 1964 Aston Martin DB5

A 1964 Aston Martin DB5 graced by none other than 007 himself is set to hit the auction block in London on October 27th, 2010.  The luxury car is expected to rake in an estimated $5 million dollars when it changes hands at Sotheby’s.

Wow, $5 million smackaroos is a bit more than the $12,000 paid by the current owner, Jerry Lee, when he purchased the DB5 from Aston Martin in 1969.  It certainly seems that Mr. Lee stands to make a profit!  Of course, the fetching price is steep for this particular Aston Martin as it hit the big screen with James Bond in both early films “Goldfinger” and “Thunderball”.  So if it is a 1964 yet Mr. Lee purchased it from Aston Martin in 1969, what happened in the interim?
