The sale remained stagnant with 2 bids at $16k for a long while–then things picked up and the Rolls went for $125k.

On November 30th, 2013, actor Paul Walker was a passenger in a Porsche Carrera GT driven by longtime friend Roger Rodas. The sports car raced into a light pole and a tree before bursting into flames, claiming the lives of both young men. Nearly two weeks later, the aftermath has left hearts burning across the world.

Fiery Porsche Carrera GT crash claims the life of “Fast and Furious” actor Paul Walker (40) and driver Roger Rodas (38).

The driver of the fatal Porsche crash, Roger Rodas, was a long-time friend and financial adviser to Walker. Rodas was also a competitor in the Pirelli World Challenge and other racing events. Rodas and Walker were enjoying a spin in the sports car in Santa Clarita, California at time of the accident. read more

Hundreds of spectators lined the Gandy Bridge in Tampa, Florida in hopes of watching Top Gear blast a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse over it at speeds exceeding 200 miles per hour. Unfortunately, the shoot was called off once the crew arrived on scene and witnessed the swarm of fans crowding the bridge. They cited safety concerns and promptly applied the brakes to the epic blast across the bridge.
